What is Dropshipping (DS) and which advantages does it offer?
As a retailer you are able to offer a single, several or even thousands of product(s), which you do not need to have in stock yourself.
Since there is no need to keep your own stock of merchandise, you only bear a very low financial risk.
As professionals we take care of the stock-keeping as well as the dispatching of the products that you have sold on your website.
You can freely decide about a profit margin, which is the amount above our net wholesale price and which will be your sales revenue (wholesale price + your chosen profit margin = the price of the product in your shop). Besides paying us the net wholesale price of every sold product, you solely have to pay a low standard dropshipping fee and - only under certain circumstances - the VAT.
With this simple calculation and a little motivation you can easily create your own shop.

How does your DropShipping program work?
You can either choose to put a selection of our products on your own website for sale or you can open up a whole new web shop encompassing our complete product range. When one of our products gets sold on your website or in your online shop you just wait for the payment of your customer. As soon as you have received the payment of your customer, you initiate the dropshipping order on our website. Alternatively you can also send us an email with your dropshipping order. You can read here, how that works. Once we have received your dropshipping order, the product is immediately sent to the customer. In your own best interest, please make absolutely sure that your customer has already paid the invoiced amount to you, before you send us the order!
The dispatch of the products from our warehouse in Cottbus is invariably made as insured mail. Depending on size and quantity of the order, the shipment is either insured as a registered package or a registered letter. On every package or letter your address will appear as the shipper, in order to make sure that your customer knows the product he/she received has come from you. In case of a loss during the shipment, every package/letter is insured respectively (e.g. via DHL up to 500.00 EUR).
In the case that a customer would return an order (e.g. because of the legal right of return, the cancellation right or entitled complaints), we take the order back from you without any problems. For the shipping cost of such a return, you receive a credit or a reversal transfer to your bank account.
We do not carry out dropshipping orders to your own address.
Can I dropship to Switzerland?
We are unable to ship FINE jewellery to Switzerland as your Drop shipper due to the stringent Customs laws. All fashion jewellery and decoration items can still be drop shipped to Switzerland. For these, all Customs duties & fees are already included!
Where can I find the 'DropShipping' option in your online shop (Gallay.eu)?
The 'Dropshipping' option can be found in the Shopping Cart below the drop-down field for the payment options. If you want us to send a product directly to your customer, please choose the shipment-option 'Dropshipping'. The normal shipping fee will then be replaced with the fixed 'Dropshipping' rate.
Do you have tips for me? E.g. for handling of inventory and availability of products?
The inventory of our products is changing daily. Therefore, you have to pay attention to the quantity that is in stock.
Otherwise a customer might buy a product (and pay for it) that is still showing in your shop, but it is actually already sold out.
In order to avoid these and similar pitfalls, we want to give you a few tips and tricks:
1. When you choose products to be displayed in your shop, you should look for items that are available in large or at least sufficient amounts. The amount in stock for you to choose the product should be at least five, if you plan to update daily.
2. Check the availability and the amount of products that you display in your shop regularly against our warehouse inventory.
3. Do not work at auction sites like eBay with long offer periods on products that you do not have (Buy them first!).
4. Something that should be obvious: Update your data regularly!
5. Use our CSV-service! You get three times a day updated CSV-files which contain all our up to date product information. You even have the opportunity to automatically download and import these files into your system. Moreover, you can take advantage of an inventory file which is updated every hour.
6. If you sold an item even though it is not available anymore, send us an urgent e-Mail. Sometimes we have remainders from trade shows. Therefore we might be able to help you and send the item although it is shown as unavailable in our store.
7. Should you find a 'hot-seller', it may be a great opportunity for you to buy at least a small amount as an 'iron stock', which you can still sell when our inventory already shows zero and nobody else has it, but you. Think about the benefits and the profit!
8. In busy sales times like Christmas you need to have a close follow-up and good observation of our inventory. If necessary check it several times daily.
Many of our customer have long years of experience in selling jewelry on- and off-line. These -or likewise- experiences are some of the prerequisites necessary to be successful with our 'Dropshipping' offer. What are the delivery times with 'Dropshipping'?
Usually we deliver immediately after receiving your order. Orders, which we receive before 2 pm on workdays are normally still dispatched on the same day.
What about Customs duties and/or Import taxes?
You need to communicate the following to your customers in order to avoid legal issues:
"Any customs duties and/or import taxes that may arise are the sole responsibility of the customer!"
What happens when a customer wants to return a product?
Returns from deliveries, which were sent via Dropshipping to your customer, will be taken back
by us on your order and are always Money Back. Reasons for valid returns could be, for instance,
cancellation rights of consumers or damaged and/or malfunctioning items.
Due to cost concerns such items should be returned from your customer directly back to us.
In order to do this, your customer must send the item(s) back in the original packaging,
as a letter item, via the least expensive postal services.

In case a customer of yours returns an item due to his/her cancellation rights, you need to inform us about it and we will, after receipt of the item, refund you the purchase price excl. the DS fee. Optional, they could send it to you and you could then resell it. In case a customer of yours returns an item due to a claim of damage or malfunction, you need to inform us about it and we will verify the claim after we receive the item. If found valid we will refund the purchase price incl. the DS fee to you. However, if the claim is NOT valid we will refund the purchase price only. It is your responsibility to inform your customer about these matters before an item is returned.
Who is paying the costs of returns for international orders?
Costs for returns from your customers, which are caused by non-acceptance or undeliverableness of an order, need to be covered by you. The costs for the returns by FedEx amount currently to approx. 30 Euro plus additional VAT per shipment. Please take these possible costs into consideration when calculating the prices of your products. We do not cover this kind of costs of returns.
What services/costs are included in the DropShipping fee?
1. Reception of your DS-order by e-mail
2. Data acquisition and check of your customers delivery address in our dispatch software
3. Generation and printout of delivery note and forwarding label. (Sample of a delivery note)
4. Packing the article (e.g., in gift packaging *)
5. Costs for the dispatch material (cardboard, letter, filler etc.)
6. Dispatch fee for packages, insured letters or registered letter (merchandise value insured)
7. Sending tracking ID via automated e-mail 8. Clearing and settlement of returns from your customers
9. Investigations on missing or lost shipments

How can I pay for my DropShipping orders
We ship your orders as soon we receive your payment (PayPal is fastest).
How is VAT calculated on dropshipping orders?
For Traders with their place of business outside the EU as well as traders with their place of business within the EU

Do I have to register separately for Dropshipping?
No, you do not have to register for Dropshipping separately. You can begin any time to sell our products with the DS-option. Only the first shipment to be carried out via Dropshipping needs to be arranged with us by e-mail!
Which carriers do you use for DS orders?
We ship our products insured via FedEx/DHL International or Deutsche Post World Net as registered mail.
We do NOT ship to PO-Box addresses!
Additionally, some locations are not served at all or only with a surcharge by a carrier. An automatic fall-back to another carrier is used in such case, to insure fast delivery if your order is affected. You can download a list of the affected locations for FedEx as well as DHL as a .pdf file. If you want to use a certain carrier - despite the surcharge (atm. appr. 12.00 €) - please, indicate this in the message field of the order form.
You will receive a confirmation e-Mail for each order (with a tracking number from the carrier as well as additional information if necessary) from us.
