Items to look for this April
As we step out of winter, you need to look at your jewelry store to make sure that you are all stocked up for the new spring and the summer season. Just like the winter is stopping and the snow is melting away, so do some fashion and jewelry trends that are nowhere to be found once you hit the new hot season. So if you want to know what is hot and what is not for your shop, then you need to keep on reading.
What is hot?
This April is all about downsizing. There are no larger than life statement jewelry items that your customers are going to add on top of your solids. We are getting into a flowery and bright wardrobe and this means that your customers need to complement their look with some fine jewelry that will make their outfits pop but not scream. This April is all about rose gold delicate earrings and stacking up thin rings on top of each other. Skinny cuffs make a big come back showing that although these jewelry items are small in size they have a great impact. Colorful stones are very popular this April and can be found in delicate earrings, rings and even chockers.
What is not?
Say good bye to big Rhinestones that added a bling to the winter wardrobe. They are nowhere to be found this April. Blackened metal and silver accessories are also making a retreat leaving space for white silver and gold accessories.

Fine Gold Jewelry:
Arm cuffs are very in this April and they are thin and feature a lot of geometrical shapes. They can be clinched high up on the forearm or let to dangle on the wrist to complement the amazing summer dresses. Chockers are still welcomed with precious stones that make them stand out from the ones your clients used to wear in winter. Ruby is one of the most favorite stones to wear with gold this summer.
Fine Silver Jewelry:
Bright silver will accentuate the spring wardrobe with fine rings stacked on top of each other and earrings that hug the curvature of the ear. Loops are never out of fashion but if you want to choose something different for your jewelry store then choose delicate silver earnings that may feature some precious stones. Offer your customers the chance to mix and match because their outfits will be full of bright colors. Just remember that it is not the size of the accessories but the impact they leave.
Doublé (gold plated) Jewelry:
Gold plated jewelry is paired with faux diamonds for an economic option if your customers can’t afford the real thing. Wearing one pair of long earrings and a stone on the other ear has been shown in the fashion shows of many high end brands and is an option that you want to consider as a retailer. Earrings that connect both ears together like a necklace were also shown and although they could be too much for some people, spring is the time for fresh beginnings and starts and maybe it is the time to talk your customers into trying a new trend like this one.
Fashion (costume) Jewelry:
Costume jewelry is available to wear on any outfit and will make the basic pieces look unique. Long metal necklaces are good to wear on a summer dress and a cardigan and are equally appropriate if they are worn on a basic shirt with some denim pants. Fashion ear cuffs are also great to wear in the morning and at night. Offer your customers products that feature several colored stones; they are affordable but won’t look cheap. Statement rings that can be worn on different knuckles are very in this season. They can be stacked up on top of each other or worn on different fingers for a boho chic look. Whatever you choose to offer your clients, remember that jewelry expresses who we are. Encourage your clients to find what suits their taste and to style it the way they like it.
